Second Chance Flight
Second Chance Flight, serving northeastern SD, is a nonprofit dedicated to the conservation of waterfowl through the recovery, incubation, and release of ducklings from nests unintentionally destroyed during agricultural operations. By partnering with landowners and farmers, we work to ensure that every viable egg has the opportunity to hatch, grow, and return to the wild - preserving the life and legacy of our
native waterfowl.
"In a world filled with so much loss, it’s easy to feel like one person can’t make a difference. But when I hold an egg in my hands that wouldn’t have hatched, or release a duckling that would have otherwise died cold, alone, and forgotten in the dust, I’m reminded of the power of saving just one life. It creates a ripple that lasts far beyond what we can see - because even in the smallest lives, we find a reflection of something much bigger. A reminder that the work we do with our hands can echo the work of His."
